Founder and creator of BigAppleChannel.com, Andrew Sansone's passion for New York City - its culture, its diversity and energy - began over a decade ago, when he co-founded a media communications firm based in the metropolitan area. As lead negotiator, Sansone cultivated and secured new business opportunities with clients such as, Continental Airlines, the NBA's Nets Basketball team and Gray Line New York Sightseeing Tours.
Twelve years of advertising and marketing experience in NYC, in addition to being a lifelong local, afforded Sansone a hands-on opportunity to explore the multitude of experiences the city has to offer.
Sansone took his knowledge and love of NYC, along with the emergence of web video and combined them to create BigAppleChannel.com - an innovative site that is a local TV network for the web, creating, producing and sharing content relevant to New York City. Sansone strives to deliver the best of city life for an online community that reaches far beyond city limits.
Sansone is committed to giving back to the community and supports numerous charitable organizations by volunteering his time, spirit and business expertise to worthwhile causes including but not limited to:

Habitat For Humanity - Served three years on the Board of Directors (2005-2007) Hudson County NJ affiliate www.HabitatForHumanity.com. Organized fund raising events, new volunteer recruitment sessions and secured corporate sponsorship.

Recently, Sansone ran his first marathon, the 2007 ING NYC Marathon raising over $13,000 for the Nicholas Rossomando Memorial Scholarship Fund. Nicholas was a FDNY Firefighter who gave his life saving others on 9/11/01. Click here to read more.
