Roger Ahl - Host of BAC's
All Sports with Roger Ahl

Roger Ahl joined Big Apple Channel (BAC)
in April 2010 as host of "All Sports with Roger Ahl."

Ahl, a lifelong local, brings 24 years of sports media experience. As a sports producer at WNYW Fox 5 News in New York City Roger has had the unique and rare opportunity to cover sports for Fox since 1985. Roger has interviewed just about every professional athlete you'd ever want to meet. A day in the life of Roger could mean an afternoon in the Yankees dugout or hanging out in the Mets bullpen or doing a post game interview in the Jets or Giants locker room all in time for the 10 O'clock news.

Before joining Fox, Ahl worked for ABC Network Radio Sports from 1992 until 2000, as well as serving as an instructor at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting from 1999 until 2010. Ahl's work as a Sports Producer has earned him the reputation of being a well respected media veteran who has covered the New York sports scene unlike most.

Roger's broadcasting career began at Indian Hills High School in Oakland, NJ where he served as Play-by-Play Announcer and Host on the schools radio station. He continued to hone his Play-by-Play skills while attending college at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ where he graduated with a bachelors degree in Communications. Of course Ahl covers every team fairly on t.v. but what most people don't know about Roger, he's an avid NY Rangers and NY Mets fan and does a killer Marv Albert impersonation among others!
