Being in the industry I can relate to all of this 100%. When DiscePOLO, I know him so only I can call him that, talked about people thinking that we get to watch the game & not understanding that we couldnt cause we were working, boy is he right. I went though that with my friends when I used to do on field camera. The idea that we are watching the game is a falsehood. You have to concentrate on what youre shooting, so most of the time I couldnt even tell you the score! Good show for those who dont know. Great behind the scenes stuff. And good for us who can relate too!
Another great show! Having John Discepolo on was an added bonus! Also liked the extended time of the show.(Would welcome that from you, Roger, on your own.) It was interesting to hear about the history you guys had ,on-the-job.
Liked hearing that positive comment about easily.approachable hockey players, when it came to after game interviews. Still don’t think that hockey is as mainstream as it should be. Especially after all the time the NHL has been around.
Yet another of my Mets comments…Have to say that I’m worried about them, as each injured player has disappeared from the line-up. But, their pitching talent is carrying the team and making the “W’s” possible (not to mention Sheffield and Santos). The feel of the team is different, but maybe not such a bad thing. The now active roster just needs to find their own unique rhythm and produce quality results.(I know, easier said than done.)
Awesome guest, liked his insight, stories, and that he’s a redsox fan. Also got to see the live feed, enjoyed seeing some of what goes on behind the scenes.
Justin, heykim, James, Annis, Liz and Brian — you guys rock! Your feedback is so appreciated and critical to our success. Thank you for watching and commenting — we don’t ever take that for granted. As Brian mentioned, check out the footage from our LIVE STREAM while we taped the show!
Love this site!! Nice to see a little behind the scenes of media that we really don’t get to see in this techy day in age! Nice show….with alot of very informative stuff! Love the fact your on twitter, and facebook too….keep up the good work! And I will for sure keep stopping by!
I remember seeing John on Fox5 here in NYC. Seems like a nice guy. Cool show, interesting to hear about how TV sports is put together. Looking forward to future episodes with more behind the scenes stuff.
the show was going along very nicely until that *ungrateful host forgot to mention my name along with every other sportscaster in NY. Thanks Roger Ahl! I used to be a fan!
Of course hockey players are the best to interview, all they want to do is drink beer and talk
Great show guys, nice to know what happens when the cameras aren’t rolling.
Excited to see what you bring to the table for next year’s NHL season.
Cheers,
Justin
